Hi guys, I'm running the Sheffield half marathon on the 27th May for 'Save The Children' which was my late god mothers favorite charity. I have a page set up here:

http://www.justgiving.com/chrisbjornward

It's my first half-marathon and depending how it goes I may well be going for a full marathon soon.

It would be great if any of you guys could sponsor me even if its just a quid as it all adds up!

Cheers!

Chris

Cliffie will not be with us next season, not confirmed as to where yet.

Wish him the very best wherever he ends up, probably the nicest bloke on the team and his effort can't be faulted. Worked really hard and given his all to Roth.

Not surprised about Robin, been such a standout player. Well done Garry & Semi too tho, chuffed for all of them!

Excellent synopsis Tony, I agree with everything you said. It really did seem as soon as Roth had a sniff of the line the ref would blow up, I will choose not to use some expletives even after having time to cool off! Baines binning was ridiculous, it wasn't as if Roth had given away a series of pens (to be fair we were penalised consistently the whole game for this that and the other!) yet he binned him immediately. Also worth a mention was the two high tackles Bedford made, yet got away with and the stern talking the ref gave to Nonu when the player he tackled CLEARLY fell over as he slipped. Infuriating.

The standard of reffing does need looking at - as reflected by the 'quality of ref's' thread -  when was the last time you can remember a ref having a solid performance?

Onwards and upwards!

So it's the end of the season and I'm sure there will be plenty of announcements to come, just wanted to share some of the players sentiments who are leaving via twitter;

Ben Hooper: @BenHooper87: @tiger_tennis I've never played with a group of lads as honest or as hard working, or with fans as passionate and dedicated. #privileged

Ben Hooper: @BenHooper87: Awesome year with @RotherhamRugby. Some special memories with some awesome friends. Can't think of a day I haven't laughed. #legends

Robin Copeland: @robocopey: A very special thanks to my titans family! What a great season it's been! Thanks for the opportunity to play and the memories! #titanslove

Sean Dougall: @seandougall: Unlucky result. End of a great 2 years for me, thnks to @RotherhamRugby nd the #titans fans for support #cringebuttrue http://t.co/I3fPNrb5

Championship Chat / Esher relegated + today's other results
« on: April 21, 2012, 05:05:10 PM »
Despite scoring 5 tries and beating Scottish 31-26 Esher are relegated as Scottish scored 4 tries and lost within 7 points. Sounded like a great game!

Other scores:

Leeds 42 Pirates 25 - Seems Leeds had a point to make which also left us well adrift at the bottom of the pool!

Nottingham 25 Welsh 33

Bris 39 Donny 10

Plymouth 54 Mose 24 (12 try thriller!)

So the semi's will be:

Bris vs Pirates

Bedford vs Welsh

Looking at the score, i feel sorry for the travelling fans.

If i could put a score on the game I would have said 27-15 would have been a fair representation.

Much better second half despite the deteriorating weather, score line flattered Bedford hugely - we deserved at least a couple of try's.

We put in a very determined performance right up to the last second which deserves a lot of respect, but I'm left with a sour taste in my mouth following that 'performance' by the man in the middle. I'm going to leave it a while before I comment any further.

The Bedford fans around us agreed with most of our views.

Ruined the game.

Well done to all the boys though, they stuck to it. Semi had a good second half, Sean was playing out of his skin, Fodes counter attacked well, Homan ran well, bainsy & robin impacted well from the bench.
