Congratulations to the Rotherham Phoenix yesterday on winning, promotion and title of Yorkshire 4. Really chuffed for the lads. However disappointed with the lack of support from Roth fans!!!

However everyone that was there had a great time.

Well done again Smiley

Phoenix played really well beating my team Hemsworth 30-25, bit dissapointed that you didnt get much support but it was a cracking game for us amateurs to watch and hopefully enjoyed by everyone but me cause we lost, good luck to all from Phoenix for next year

Thanks to everyone who has given support to Phoenix this season. Its great to win the title with two games to spare but its been a tough campaign, especially through the Christmas period with all the games lost. All credit to the lads, training on Herringthorpe in the snow and on the frozen all weather pitches at Aurora when no-one else was training gave us an edge I think, though even we thought we were mad at the time.

Mark, good luck with Hemsworth next season, you have really brought them on; they are a credit to you. Also keep up the good work with your reffing, especially when you ref the Titans.

Well we finally beat the mighty Pheonix on our third attempt, although your team was slightly different to the one we played earlier in the season a win has really lifted our boys who now look forward to playing Wath in the final, once again good luck to Pheonix for next year, you are a real first class junior rugby team, i will be looking out for your results every week,MW

Thoroughly deserved your win Mark, nobody let us down but there is a big gap between 1st and 2nd team rugby at present, plus the lads are pretty much exhausted after a tough campaign. However we fully intend to celebrate promotion to the max on Saturday night. Interestingly we put a plan together with the players in 2007 and this promotion puts us firmly on target. Good luck for next season and against Wath midweek.

Well we finally ended the season on a high beating Wath 18-12, actually we played them off the park which shows how well Pheonix wil do next year, The Gerry Roberts Memorial Trophy is safe and sound in our club house.

Congratulatuions Mark,
I am sure your guys were really up for this and Wath thought it would be a walk in the park but Yorkshire 4 has been really tough this season and we are all either battle hardened or exhausted. However I think it will stand us well next season in Y3. I am sure you will be mounting your own promotion campaign next season and good luck with that.
